KCSO COMET COMMUNICATION

How do we communicate with our families and athletes?  How do you get information on upcoming events? KCSO Comets strives to ensure that every athlete and family is able to easily access up to date information on events and activities.  There are three ways that the Team communicates with its athletes and their families.
  • Our website is updated bi-weekly and is the one-stop shop to getting your questions answered and information about upcoming events.  Be sure to bookmark us and visit often!  www.kcsofamilyandfriends.com
  • We are on Facebook!  Come and "Like" us and join our Team board.  From the Facebook homepage, search for "Kendall County Special Olympics" to gain access to our page.
  • Email.  Coach Clason and our Executive Board maintain all communications with the Team via emails.  To ensure that you are receiving the information you need, add the following addresses to your address book.

KCSO PARENT / FAMILY MENTORS

If you are a new member to our Team, or your athlete has participated in the past years with KCSO but only in one sport, we'd like to WELCOME you to our family!  Our Parent / Family Mentor Team is ready to help you feel more comfortable and understand our organization!  If this is your first year with Kendall County Comets, a parent / family mentor will be assigned to your family to help guide you through the process of being a family of the Kendall County Special Olympic Team!  If your parent / family mentor has not contacted you by the end of November, please contact us so that we can follow up with our team.

Your parent/family mentor will be available to answer any questions you may have, introduce you to the rest of our family, help you get to where your athlete needs to go and go over our policies and procedures for each event to ensure that you are comfortable and understand how Special Olympics works!  We look forward to meeting you!!
